What is expert review?

07 May 2026 58 views Selling Expert Review Authentication

Every listing on eBuy is checked by a reviewer before it becomes visible. Reviewers are assigned by specialism, so coins are looked at by someone who knows coins.

What the reviewer checks

  • Whether the photos are clear enough for a buyer to judge the item
  • Whether it is in the right category with the right attributes
  • Whether the description matches what the photos show
  • Whether it breaks any listing rules

They can approve it, reject it, or ask the seller for better photos.

What it does not do

This is the important part. Expert review is a quality check on the listing, not a verdict on the item.

  • It does not certify that an item is genuine
  • It does not value the item or promise it will sell
  • It does not decide refunds or payouts
  • It does not replace your own research before buying

A reviewed listing means a careful person looked at it and it met the standard. It does not mean eBuy is standing behind the item's authenticity. For that, look at third-party grading.

Expert review is a marketplace quality process. It is not a certification, a valuation, or a guarantee of authenticity.
