When you pay on eBuy, the money does not go to the seller. eBuy holds it. The seller is paid only after you mark the order Received.
That single step is your protection. Everything else follows from it.
What this covers
- The parcel never arrives
- What arrives is not what the listing described
- The item was damaged on the way
- The parcel looks opened or tampered with
What to do when the parcel arrives
Step 1: Look at the parcel before you accept it. If it is cut, resealed, torn, crushed, or wet, refuse it if you can.
Step 2: Record a video as you open it, starting while the parcel is still sealed. This is the single most useful piece of evidence in a damage claim.
Step 3: Check the item against the listing photos and description.
Step 4: If everything is fine, mark the order Received. If it is not, raise a support ticket from the order page before marking anything.
Marking an order Received starts the payment going to the seller. Do it only when the item is with you and you have checked it.
What this does not cover
Anything you paid for outside eBuy. If you sent money by UPI, bank transfer, or cash because a seller offered a better price, eBuy has no record of that payment and cannot get it back for you.
eBuy is not an escrow service. Claims are reviewed case by case against the evidence provided. A claim being raised does not guarantee a refund.
