What you are seeing
Your refund was agreed but the money has not appeared in your account.
Why it happens
A refund passes through three stages, and it is easy to mistake one for another.
- Requested — you have asked. Nothing has moved yet
- Approved — support has agreed and eBuy has instructed Razorpay
- Credited — your bank has put the money back
Most "where is my refund" questions are orders sitting at Requested, or at Approved within the normal bank waiting period.
How to fix it
Step 1: Open the order from Buyer → Orders and check which of the three stages it is at.
Step 2: If it still says requested, reply inside the existing ticket. Do not open a second one, which puts you at the back of the queue.
Step 3: If it was approved more than 7 working days ago, reply in the ticket with the date of approval.
How long it should take
- UPI refunds are usually the fastest, often 1 to 3 working days
- Card and net banking refunds take 5 to 7 working days
- The clock starts when the refund is approved, not when you asked
The refund is not on my card statement. Card refunds often appear against the original transaction date rather than today's date, so check further back in the statement than you expect.
If it is still not resolved
Reply in the ticket with the approval date and your bank reference. Support can check the refund against the Razorpay record.
