Nearly every loss on a marketplace starts with the same move. Someone tries to take the deal off the platform.
Stop if you see any of these
- "Pay me directly by UPI or bank transfer and I will give you a discount"
- "Let us continue on WhatsApp, it is easier"
- Anyone asking for an OTP, a password, or card details
- A tracking or refund link that does not go to eBuy
- Listing photos that look copied, watermarked, or too good for the price
Aimed at buyers
- A discount for paying outside eBuy
- Fake grading or certificate claims
- Pressure to mark an order Received before it arrives
- Phishing links dressed up as courier or refund updates
Aimed at sellers
- A screenshot of a payment that never happened
- Pressure to post before the order is confirmed on eBuy
- A request to finish the deal privately
Three habits that prevent almost all of it
Step 1: Keep everything on eBuy, from first message to payment to follow-up.
Step 2: Never share an OTP. A real code is for you to type in yourself, never to read out.
Step 3: Report anything that feels wrong instead of trying to handle it yourself.
eBuy support works through the platform and official email. Treat any "support" message from a random phone number, Instagram account, or WhatsApp as fake.
If something feels off, stop the transaction and write to support@ebuy.store, or use the support option on the order.
