eBuy can only help with what it can see. An order placed and paid here leaves a record of the payment, the tracking, and the conversation. A deal done over WhatsApp leaves nothing.
What you give up by going off-platform
- Your money is no longer held. It goes straight to the seller
- There is no order page, so there is nothing for support to review
- Refunds and returns need a real eBuy order to exist
- The seller has no verified identity attached to your payment
What to avoid
- Paying by UPI, bank transfer, or a payment link shared outside eBuy checkout
- Moving to WhatsApp, Telegram, or a phone call to finish the deal
- Swapping phone numbers to "save the fees"
- Agreeing to a side refund or private replacement instead of using the order tools
It protects sellers too
A seller with an eBuy order has proof of what was sold, what was paid, and what was posted. A seller who took UPI directly has a screenshot and somebody's word. When a buyer claims the item never arrived, only one of those is any use.
A discount for paying off-platform is not a discount. It is the price of giving up every protection you have.
If anyone asks you to continue privately, stop and report it through support@ebuy.store or the order support option.
