eBuy gives you two lists. They hold items the same way, and you can move an item from one to the other at any time.
The only difference that matters
Price-drop emails are sent for wishlist items only. The watchlist does not send price alerts.
When you add something to your wishlist, eBuy notes the price that day. Once every day it checks the current price. If the item has dropped by 5 percent or more, you get an email. The noted price then resets, so a price that keeps falling keeps alerting you.
So which should I use?
- Use the wishlist for anything you actually want to buy, so you hear about a price drop
- Use the watchlist for items you are only tracking out of interest
Why you might not get an alert
- The price fell by less than 5 percent
- The item has sold or is no longer active
- The item is on your watchlist instead of your wishlist
- You turned price alerts off for that item
Saving an item does not reserve it. Someone else can still buy it. Treat a price-drop email as a reason to act quickly, not as a hold.
