What you are seeing
Something you could do before is now blocked. You may be unable to list, unable to sell, or unable to sign in to parts of the site.
Why it happens
Restrictions are not all the same, and the difference matters:
- Waiting on verification — nothing is wrong, your KYC is still being reviewed
- Verification rejected or on hold — something in your submission needs correcting
- Selling restricted — a policy or risk review limited some actions
- Payout hold — a refund, return, dispute, or chargeback is being looked at
- Suspended — seller access removed and live listings paused
Common causes
- A buyer complaint left unresolved for a long time
- KYC rejected or needing re-verification
- Listing prohibited items, overgrading, or asking buyers to pay off eBuy
- A high rate of complaints compared with your number of orders
- Repeatedly missing the two-day dispatch window
How to fix it
Step 1: Read the restriction email. It names the reason and usually the one step needed.
Step 2: Check your seller status page and any notes on the affected orders or listings.
Step 3: Do the specific thing being asked: resubmit KYC, close the open complaint, remove the flagged listing.
Step 4: If it is not something you can fix yourself, raise a support ticket with the order, listing, or payout reference and explain what happened from your side.
How long it should take
Appeals are reviewed within a few working days. A restriction that clears by itself, such as one waiting on verification, follows the KYC timeline instead.
Do not create a new account. A second account does not inherit your history and creating one while restricted makes the original case worse.
If it is still not resolved
If you disagree with the decision after a reply, the escalation article covers raising a formal grievance. New evidence changes outcomes. Repeating the same message does not.
