Buyers find these under Buyer → Profile. Sellers use Seller → Profile. Changes save straight away.
The two master switches
Email and on-site notifications are controlled separately. Turning a channel off silences everything on it. If you only want to hear things while you are on eBuy, turn email off and leave on-site on.
What buyers can control
- Order alerts, for the things you have bought
- Message alerts, for replies on an order
- Offer alerts
- New listing alerts, for sellers you follow
What sellers get as well
- Payout alerts
- KYC alerts
If you both buy and sell, you get one combined set of settings rather than two to keep in step.
Keep order alerts on
Return windows and the point where you confirm an item arrived both run on a clock. Order emails are how you find out where things stand. Turning them off does not extend any deadline, it just means you find out later.
I turned everything off but still got an email. These settings cover activity notifications. Messages about account security, verification, and a live transaction are part of running the account rather than something to switch off.
