What does eBuy do with my KYC documents?

13 May 2026 51 views KYC Verification Support

Handing over your PAN and Aadhaar to a website is a reasonable thing to be careful about. This is what happens to them.

Who can see them

  • Buyers never see them. Not your name on the document, not the numbers, not the images
  • Only eBuy's compliance and support teams can access them, and only for verification, reviewing a dispute, or a regulatory audit
  • They are not shared with other sellers, advertisers, or any third party outside required regulatory reporting
  • They are not used for marketing

How long they are kept

Retention follows Indian law and eBuy's privacy policy. Documents are not deleted the moment your verification is approved, because they may be needed for audit or for a dispute raised later.

Upload documents only through the KYC form inside your account. Never send them by email, WhatsApp, or Instagram, even if the message looks like it is from eBuy. eBuy support will never ask for documents outside the platform.

Asking about your data

To ask what is held about you, or to make a privacy request, email support@ebuy.store from your registered address and say what you want. Requests from another address cannot be actioned, since there is no way to confirm it is you.

This article describes the process. The formal terms are in eBuy's privacy policy, which is the document that governs how your data is handled.
