After a reviewer checks your listing, you may find that something is different from what you entered. This is normal. Here is what can happen and what you can do.
What a reviewer can change
- The title and description
- The category
- The weight and the shipping carrier
- Category details, such as grade or year
The reviewer records a reason for each change. Open the listing from Seller → Listings and look for the marker beside any field that was corrected. It shows what you entered and why it was changed. Your listing page also shows an expert estimate of value when the reviewer gave one.
Fields the reviewer changed stay as they set them
If you edit a rejected listing, the fields the reviewer corrected are kept as corrected. You cannot change them back.
If the listing is approved
It goes live and is locked. You cannot edit the title, photos, description, or details after that. The shipping charge is the only thing you can still change, and only until a buyer reserves the item or an order exists.
If a mistake slips through, raise a support ticket rather than creating a duplicate listing.
If the listing is rejected
If the reviewer asks for new photos
Use Replace photo on the listing. Do not start a new listing.
