Fulfilling & Packaging Your eBuy Order

11 May 2026 13 views Selling Packaging Shipping

When an order arrives

As soon as a buyer completes payment, you receive an email and in-app notification, and the order appears in your Seller dashboard under Orders. Review the order details — item, buyer address, and any buyer note — before you start packing.

How to mark an order as shipped

Step 1: Go to Seller → Orders and open the order.
Step 2: Click Mark as Shipped.
Step 3: Enter the courier name (India Post, DTDC, Blue Dart, Delhivery, or other).
Step 4: Enter the tracking number exactly as provided on your receipt or courier app.
Step 5: Submit. The buyer is notified immediately and can follow tracking from their order page.
Warning: Do not mark an order as shipped without a real tracking number. Entering a fake or placeholder number is a policy violation and will count against your seller standing.

Dispatch timeline

Dispatch within 2 business days of the order is the platform expectation. If you need more time — for example if the item is at a show or with a grader — notify the buyer via the order messaging thread before the dispatch window expires. Unexplained delays escalate to support automatically.

Packaging standards for collectibles

Proper packaging protects the item and protects you from damage claims. For Indian collectibles, follow these standards:

  • Coins — wrap individually in acid-free paper or a 2×2 flip. Stack with foam separators. Use a rigid box, not a soft mailer. Coins rattling in transit cause edge dings.
  • Banknotes — place in a rigid currency sleeve or mylar holder. Use cardboard stiffeners on both sides. Ship in a rigid mailer or small box. Do not fold or roll notes.
  • Stamps — use glassine envelopes, cardboard stiffeners, and a rigid mailer. Stamps must not be able to shift or rub against other surfaces.
  • High-value items (above ₹5,000) — double-box with cushioning between the inner and outer box. Use insured shipping and retain the tracking receipt.
  • Trading cards (raw) — sleeve in a penny sleeve, then a semi-rigid or top loader. For high-value cards, use a card saver inside a rigid mailer. Never put raw cards loose in a padded bag.
  • Trading cards (PSA/BGS/graded slabs) — wrap the slab in bubble wrap, place in a box sized so the slab cannot move. Fill any gap with crumpled paper or foam. Do not use only a padded envelope for a graded slab.

Recommended Indian couriers

  • India Post Speed Post — reliable for lighter items, wide PIN code coverage, affordable. Use registered or speed post, not ordinary post.
  • DTDC — good pan-India coverage, reasonable rates for 500g–1kg packages.
  • Blue Dart — faster delivery timelines, better tracking visibility, suitable for high-value items.
  • Delhivery — strong for e-commerce parcels, good real-time tracking, competitive rates.

Why packaging and tracking protect you too

eBuy holds your payout until the buyer marks the order Received. If a buyer raises a damage claim, your payout can be held during the review. Proper packaging (and an unboxing video expectation set in your listing) reduces the risk of successful damage claims.

Always retain your courier receipt and tracking number until the payout is processed. If a dispute is raised, the support team will ask for it.

If you miss the dispatch window

If you cannot dispatch within the expected window, message the buyer immediately via the order thread and contact support. Unexplained missed dispatch can result in automatic order cancellation, a refund to the buyer, and a strike against your seller account.

Packaging standards and dispatch timelines are enforced by platform policy. Repeated violations can lead to seller access restrictions.
