A limit is not the same as a suspension. eBuy uses different states for different problems.
What it might be
- Verification submitted — nothing is wrong, KYC is still being reviewed
- Verification rejected — correct what the notes say and resubmit
- Verification on hold — more information is needed
- Selling restricted — some actions limited after a policy or risk review
- Payout hold — a refund, return, dispute, or chargeback is being looked at
Common causes
- An unresolved buyer complaint left open for a long time
- KYC documents rejected or needing re-verification
- Listing prohibited items, overgrading, or asking buyers to pay off-platform
- A high rate of complaints compared with your number of orders
- Repeatedly missing the dispatch window
Step 1: Read the restriction email. It names the reason and usually the one step needed.
Step 2: Check your seller status page, payout history, and order notes.
Step 3: If it is not something you can fix yourself, raise a support ticket with the order, listing, or payout reference.
Most restrictions clear by doing one specific thing: resubmitting KYC, closing an open complaint, or removing a flagged listing. Appeals are reviewed in a few working days.
eBuy does not publish every detail of a review to other users, so a restriction may look unexplained from outside. The reason is in your email and on your seller pages.
